HTMS Carline Instructions

At Hewitt-Trussville Middle School, we have two carlines to help make drop-off and pick-up efficient and safe for everyone. Please follow the guidelines below:

Morning Drop-Off (7:15 AM – 8:55 AM)

Front Carline (Main Entrance)

  • Enter from Trussville-Clay Road at the red light

  • Follow the loop behind the building and pull forward along the curb.

  • Pull all the way forward before stopping to let your child out. Do not stop at the gym doors. 

  • Students should be ready to exit quickly on the right side of the car.

  • Adults should remain in the vehicle.

Reminders:

  • There is no drop-off before 7:15 AM.

  • Please do not drop off in the parking lots or bus lanes.

  • Stay off your phone and stay in your car.

Afternoon Pick-Up (3:00 PM)

6th and 7th Grade Carline (Main Entrance at the light)

  • Best for 6th grade and 7th grade families.

  • Pick up students along the gym-side curb.

  • Pull all the way down to pick up your child. 

8th Grade Carline 

  • This carline is for 8th grade only.

  • Enter from Trussville-Clay Road at the bus lane. 

  • Pick up students along the lunchroom-side curb.

  • While waiting for carline to start, please do not block bus access. 

Reminders:

  • Do not park and walk up to get your child.

  • Do not get out of your car.

  • Please be patient and follow all staff instructions.

  • Avoid blocking intersections or parking lot entrances.
